Team size: 5
Timeline: 10 working days
LNestled in the vibrant suburb of West Leederville, this modern home, built in 2006 and spanning 294 square meters, was due for a fresh new look. The house’s sleek design and pristine finish needed careful attention to prepare and protect its exterior surfaces, from fascia and eaves to steel posts and boundary walls. Our team embarked on a detailed journey to restore and enhance the house while maintaining its modern aesthetic.
The project involved removing years of dirt, mould, and loose paint through high-pressure cleaning, revealing a surface ready for renewal. Cracks on the walls were carefully repaired with Dulux Acratex, while joinery tape was replaced to ensure perfect adhesion. All surfaces were meticulously primed with Dulux Acraprime to guarantee a flawless finish.
Preparation was key—masking windows, doors, and fixtures to prevent overspray. Once ready, two coats of Dulux WeatherShield Low Sheen were applied to gutters, fascias, and downpipes to ensure durable, weather-resistant protection against West Leederville’s changing climate. For enhanced protection, Dulux Acrasheild was applied to all textured surfaces to provide a superior, long-lasting finish. For the metalwork, rust was carefully removed, and then two coats of Dulux Durebild STE epoxy, followed by Dulux Weathermax HBR polyurethane, provided a resilient shield for steel posts and fixtures.
The team faced the challenge of working within tight timelines, but through coordinated effort and careful planning, the entire exterior received a professional transformation.
This project was a testament to the importance of thorough preparation and expert application—resulting in a striking, long-lasting finish that will protect and enhance this beautiful West Leederville home for years to come.
