Nestled in the picturesque coastal suburb of Cottesloe, this project was a testament to the enduring beauty of seaside architecture. With exposure to harsh salt-laden winds and relentless sun, the home’s exterior had begun to show signs of wear. Our mission was clear: to restore and protect the property, ensuring its longevity while preserving its distinctive character.
Restoring a property in a coastal environment presents unique challenges, from salt exposure accelerating paint degradation to strong winds affecting application. Achieving a flawless finish on metal and rendered surfaces required precise preparation and strict adherence to drying times, particularly for the industrial coatings used. Safe and efficient access was paramount, with scaffold and EWP playing a crucial role in reaching challenging areas.
More than just a repaint, this project was about fortifying the home against the elements while revitalizing its aesthetic appeal. Every step, from meticulous surface preparation to the careful application of high-performance coatings, was undertaken with precision and craftsmanship.
As the final coat dried and the scaffold was dismantled, the Cottesloe residence stood renewed—a striking blend of coastal elegance and enduring protection, ready to withstand the years ahead.
The project encompassed a comprehensive exterior repaint, focusing on both rendered walls and metal/steel elements. Given the height and complexity of the surfaces, a combination of EWP (Elevated Work Platform) and scaffold was required to provide safe and efficient access.

A combination of brush, roller, and spray techniques was used to achieve a seamless, high- quality finish. The choice of Dulux Durebild STE, Dulux Weathermax HBR, and Dulux Acrashield ensured that the coatings would withstand the coastal climate, offering enhanced protection against moisture, UV exposure, and salt-induced corrosion.
