Barker-Whittle is regarded as one of Perth’s most respected painting contractors. Following a family tradition, Peter Barker began his painting career in London in 1978, obtaining the certification of Advanced Crafts City and Guilds of London. Peter moved to Perth in 1986, when he established Barker-Whittle.
As a company, we only employ qualified, experienced tradespeople, and we personally select those whom we employ. An exception to this is our own apprentices, several of whom are still with us decades after having done their apprenticeships and having been trained from the ground up by us.
We do not subcontract any work to outsiders, all our projects are handled by our own experienced tradespeople. No exceptions!
In addition, all our tradespeople carry:
- WA police clearance
- Current safety awareness training card workers compensation
- Public liability insurances
As well as our focus on service, reliability and the needs of our customers, all Barker-Whittle employees work under our own strict policies and procedures to ensure consistency. These include stringent standards for safety, quality, environmental care and cultural awareness. We are firm in enforcing commitment to these standards.
As a company and individually, we comply with Australian regulations and best practices, and have often enhanced these with our own company guidelines. We care about the environment as much as we care about the safety of our people and the quality of our workmanship. We value our reputation, and work hard to preserve and enhance it. Our customer focus and can-do attitude are vital ingredients to our success as a company.
When working on major projects or on commercial sites, we ensure strict compliance with all procedures and guidelines pertaining to the site.
Simply, this translates into best service, best care and best results when you choose Barker-Whittle for your projects.
